I've spent my career as a real estate broker, and that work has given me something unexpected: a deep understanding of what a safe place to live actually means. For a woman leaving exploitation or violence, a door that locks and a room that's truly hers isn't a small thing. It's where healing begins.

Our family's story shaped this calling. After losing our only daughter, Teagan, we knew her light had to continue in a way that brought hope to others. Teagan's Heart was born from that love — a program dedicated to emergency shelter and safe housing for women and girls who have survived sexual exploitation and abuse, paired with the wraparound care they need to be fully restored. Alongside it, our therapeutic sailing program serves those living with grief and PTSD, including veterans, offering steadiness and quiet courage out on the open water.

My goal is straightforward: to open safe houses across Orange County where survivors are met with dignity, protection, and the time it takes to heal. Every step forward honors Teagan's legacy and reflects our conviction that hope can rise again, even from the hardest places.

The Wehrmann Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Orange County, California, operating as Teagan's Heart, a program offering safe housing and wraparound services to women who have experienced sex exploitation. We provide trauma-informed care, education, and holistic support to help survivors heal, restore, and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
